KEMFINE DONATE £2000 TO MOD FRINGE

Chairman of the local Mod organising committee, Councillor Angus MacDonald has welcomed the announcement by leading Grangemouth chemical company Kemfine UK Ltd that they will donate £2,000 towards the costs of staging this year's Mod Fringe. Speaking at a ceremony handing over the cheque John Blackie, KemFine UK's Manufacturing Director said: "KemFine UK Ltd are proud to be one of the sponsors of the Falkirk Mod Fringe 2008 and we are delighted to be able to support such a prestigious event taking place in the local community. We wish every success to Councillor MacDonald and his organising team and we are sure that the Mod will be a memorable week. Mod 08 Convener Councillor Angus MacDonald said: 'We have been encouraged by the way in which local firms have embraced the fact the Royal National Mod is coming to Falkirk this year, recognising the benefits it will bring to the area, and we are immensely grateful to KemFine UK who have come on board so wholeheartedly and given us so much support. We intend to stage a great Mod Fringe with something that will hopefully appeal to everyone, and we would urge as many l;ocal residents as possible to take advantage of the fact the world's largest festival of Gaelic culture is on their doorstep."
